A word that must be said: The role that higher education and scientific research institutions must play is to advance society in all aspects of life. This requires precise understanding, distinguished presence, and doubled effort. We realize the importance of our college, Alfarqadein University College, to be a beacon of light and a beacon of guidance that radiates the Book of God and spreads the guidance of His noble Prophet and contributes to building society, holding on to science and knowledge towards broad horizons of friendliness, love, and tolerance, framing a bright tomorrow whose light spreads over the beloved city of Basra in particular and our country, Iraq in general. With this understanding, Alfarqadein University College (formerly Basrah University College of Science and Technology) was established, and with the guidance and success of God Almighty, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research - the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority approved the founding body in an era in which self-absorption and contentment with repetition and rumination represent premeditated suicide after the world has become a small village in which borders and barriers disappear and material and moral walls collapse and are swept away by a flood of information technology after the tremendous communications revolution, which poses a serious challenge to the privacy of peoples, the foundations of nations and their identity. With this awareness, our young college received the best competent professors with promising scientific and educational specializations in Iraqi universities, to be a scientific nucleus, each according to its specialization, as the founding college administration worked on preparing solid scientific curricula according to the scientific and educational frameworks of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research / and for the following scientific departments: Pharmacy, English Language, Arabic Language, Business Administration, Cosmetic and Laser Techniques, Anesthesia Techniques, Medical Laboratory Techniques, Dental Industry Techniques, Forensic Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Information and Communications Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Aviation Technology Engineering, Health Physics and Radiation Therapy Engineering Techniques, and Power Mechanics Technology Engineering.
